From Maryland’s capital to the Music Center at Strathmore, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) shares memorable symphonic music. Formed in 1962, the ASO is the largest performing arts organization in Anne Arundel County and features 70 professional musicians performing the classics for audiences of all ages. Music Director, José-Luis Novo conducts the ASO and violinist James Ehnes in this afternoon program of Beethoven, Wagner, and Stravinsky.

  • Ehnes has an extensive discography of over 40 recordings featuring music ranging from J.S. Bach to John Adams. 
  • The ASO sponsors numerous education and outreach programs in community schools, reaching thousands of school children from diverse backgrounds.
  • The ASO currently produces and presents five Masterwork Series concerts, four Education Concerts, two family concerts, one Holiday Pops Concert, and one free Pops in the Park Community Concert. 

This concert will run approximately 120 minutes with intermission.
