Kimberly Kong has been in the spotlight since her debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra when she was nine. On faculty at the Peabody Institute, Kong is a frequent soloist who has performed at Carnegie Hall and under the baton of Marvin Hamlisch.
- She’s a sharp dresser. Among her many accomplishments is her fashion blog, Sensible Stylista, in which she has taught followers how to find smoking hot deals since 2011
- Watch out! Kong’s practiced martial arts for as long as she’s played the piano, and is a second degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do
- Kong’s teacher at Juilliard, Julian Martin, studied with the revered French composer Nadia Boulanger
- Kong will be joined by cellist Alicia Ward (AIR 2010-11), composer Natalie Draper, and fellow AIR Cassandra Allen
