Corridor Concerts

Announcing our second season!

Come hear voices in harmony celebrating the diversity of music and culture throughout our region! Corridor Concerts are performances featuring choirs and ensembles paired with a Strathmore Artist-in-Residence. Join us for this groundbreaking season of concerts for all!

All concerts are FREE with a recommended donation of $5. No tickets required. Concerts take place in several locations throughout Eastern Montgomery County.

New Voices

Talented young musicians and established professionals come together to provide a glimpse into the future of music. This concert of gospel and bilingual contemporary music brings together voices from the People’s Community Baptist Church and Casa Del Alfarero, and features pianist and Strathmore Artist in Residence alumnus Mark Meadows.

Snow Lay On Snow

Ring in the holiday season with local talent of all kinds! Strathmore Artist in Residence Gina Sobel, local women’s choir Voix De Femmes, and A Cappella! from James Hubert Blake High School come together to perform holiday classics and seldom-heard gems in a performance sure to get you in the spirit.

Remembering Selma

This stunning musical tribute features vocalist and Strathmore Artist in Residence alumna Cassandra Allen and choirs from the People’s Community Baptist Church and Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring in a performance that explores and celebrates the legacy of the Selma marches through spirituals and gospel music.

Bernstein At 100: Celebrating the American Voice!

Led by National Philharmonic Chorale Artistic Director Stan Engebretsen, a consortium of choirs and instrumentalists come together to perform Leonard Bernstein’s iconic Chichester Psalms and other works. Performed entirely by local musicians, Bernstein Bash is the East County community’s contribution to the celebration of Bernstein’s 100th birthday.
