Steel Pan With Josanne
Wednesdays, Oct 16–Nov 20 | 6–8pm | Ages 10+
Come move and groove to the beat as you learn to play the steelpans–the only chromatic acoustic instrument to be invented in the 20th century! Apart from learning the basics of steelpan technique, you will also learn about the history of the instrument. By the end of the course you will know about the function of each type of steelpan, and be able to perform! The class is taught by master steelpan performer and educator, Josanne Francis, who has appeared at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Strathmore, and the Kennedy Center.

Hip Hop Dance with Esperonto
Tuesdays, Sept 17–Oct 22 | 7–8pm | Ages 10–15
Groove to the beat of contemporary hip-hop, R&B, and old school! Through fun choreography, this class introduces technical elements like locking, popping, and footwork. With the help from an experienced instructor, students will be challenged to improve their musicality, coordination, and freestyle ability. No experience required, but get ready to move!
Beginner Ukulele with Maureen
Thursdays, Sept 19–Oct 24 | 6–7pm | Ages 10+
Join us as we learn ukulele basics and get strumming! Participants will learn to strum along with some of today’s greatest pop hits with joy and flair. The class will cover beginning chords, basic strum patterns, and easy songs. No experience with musical instruments required, just an open mind and a desire to try something new.
