(North Bethesda, MD)- As Strathmore continues to prioritize the comfort and well-being of its patrons, beginning September 7, it will require all attendees to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results within 72 hours of attending any indoor public performance or event. Artists have had to comply with this requirement since May 2021.

Guests have two options for entry into Strathmore venues. They may present a physical or electronic copy of their official vaccination card or a negative (polymerase chain reaction) PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start of the performance. All proof must be accompanied by a matching photo ID.

“Strathmore exists because our patrons believe having a place where we come together to celebrate the arts is essential for our community.  We greatly value that convening role and want to support our community’s health and well-being as we reopen our indoor venues.  With that in mind, we’ve taken this next important step,” said Monica Jeffries Hazangeles, Strathmore President and CEO.

In addition to recently implementing vaccination or negative status requirements for non-represented staff, vendors, students, and volunteers, Strathmore has:

  • Instituted mandatory mask wearing inside its buildings;
  • Achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities;
  • Upgraded all air filters to MERV13 levels and have an air exchange rate of 4X per hour;
  • Maximized outdoor spaces for events; and
  • Temporarily suspended food and beverage service at its concerts.
