Strathmore will also offer a free concert at Good Hope Recreation Center in East Montgomery County.

Washington Post’s Mary Beth Albright will host James Beard Award-winning cookbook author and chef Yotam Ottolenghi as he shares his passion for everything food and dishes secrets from his kitchen. As one of the most innovative current culinary influencers, Ottolenghi is the author of cookbooks Jerusalem, Ottolenghi Simple, and more. His new book, Ottolenghi Flavor, builds on the vegetable cooking that made his books Plenty and Plenty More bestsellers and teaches ways to create flavor via more than 100 plant-based recipes.
JEFF GOLDBLUM & THE MILDRED SNITZER ORCHESTRA

Jeff Goldblum, star of stage and screen and accomplished jazz pianist, will be joined by the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra to perform standards like “Straighten Up and Fly Right” and “Come On-A My House.” The evening will feature jazzy jam sessions, trivia, and audience question and answer segments.
EXHIBITION: SHADES OF PASTEL: MARYLAND PASTEL SOCIETY

The Maryland Pastel Society returns to Strathmore with their biennial juried exhibition featuring pastel artists from around the nation. Soft pastels have a high concentration of pigment, resulting in intense hues in an extensive range of colors from earth tones to vibrant shades. The Society is devoted to promoting the art of soft pastel and the professional development of pastel artists.
EXHIBITION: PIVOT: TERENCE NICHOLSON

Terence Nicholson’s works are the product of, but not necessarily defined by, the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although he had no desire for the body of work to focus on the pandemic specifically, its impact was unavoidable.
Nicholson was challenged to continue the making of objects during a time of limited space due to social distancing mandates and calls to stay indoors during the early days of the pandemic. As a result, he created a series of works on plexiglass, photo transfer, and video as well as smaller assemblages.

Strathmore's concert series at Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center continues with Argentine guitarist and composer Cristian Perez. With a strong foundation in classical, jazz, and South American music, he crafts a singular voice, rich in sensitivity and nuance, that freely explores the possibilities of music as an art form.
This free concert is part of Bloom by Strathmore, which strives to create community and expand access to the arts.
YOUSSOU NDOUR: Mbalax Unplugged

Youssou NDOUR, Senegalese Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and activist, returns to Strathmore for the first time since 2019. He uses his vibrant vocals to anchor powerful songs and his high-energy band Super Étoile to create a sound which is characteristically Senegalese.
