Since its formation in 1956, this internationally acclaimed youth orchestra has set the standard for similar ensembles, generating rave reviews, winning awards, and launching the careers of many top musicians. “The National Youth Orchestra of Canada has a proud tradition of waking Canadians from their midsummer musical slumbers . . . Discover classical music’s stars of tomorrow in this free performance of Dvorak, Shostakovich and a new work by Canadian composer Adam Sherkin, Terra Incognita.
Free, no tickets required. The line for admission will form beginning at 6pm outside the Music Center’s main entrance.
This concert will run approximately 130 minutes with intermission.
