This innovative classical guitarist has made it his personal quest to explore the music of Bach, Haydn and Brahms—and to do it, he helped develop the eight-string “Brahms guitar,” which will be featured in this “magnificently played, thoughtful and majestic” performance (Gramophone).

PLEASE NOTE: Metro will perform major track work over the weekend of March 9-11. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday. On the Red Line: Free shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between Dupont Circle and Van Ness. Two stations – Woodley Park and Cleveland Park – will be closed. Customers using shuttle bus service should build an extra 20 minutes into their travel plans.

PROGRAM
Johann Sebastian Bach Lute Suite No. 6
Paul Hindemith Harp Sonata
Manuel Ponce Prelude and 20 Variations with Fugue on “La Folia de España”

This concert will run approximately ninety minutes plus intermission.
