Russian pianist Denis Matsuev has become a fast-rising star on the international concert stage in the wake of his triumphant victory at the 11th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1998. Widley regarded as one of the most talented virtuoso pianists performing today, Denis Matsuev is known for his breathtaking virtuosity and clear artistic identity, which have won him consistent critical acclaim and enthusiastic audiences worldwide for his solo recitals and orchestral engagements.

He has appeared at the prestigious concert halls throughout the world, including New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and the Salle Gaveau in Paris. Mr. Matsuev has continually reengaged with such legendary orchestras as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Russia and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, appearing with the most prominent conductors of the stage today including Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Leanard Slatkin, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Temirkanov and Maris Jansons.
