SYMPHONY WITH A TWIST ™
Frankenstein!!

Lobby opens at 6:30 pm for live jazz, tapas and cocktails.

HK Gruber, conductor and narrator

Saint-Saëns: Danse macabre
HK Gruber: Frankenstein!!
Beethoven: Symphony No. 8

Just in time for Halloween! Frankenstein haunts the concert hall in HK Gruber’s hilarious musical portrayal of this mythical monster. Conducted and hosted by the composer himself, Frankenstein!! is an outrageously funny collection of songs for orchestra. A bumping, creaking score like nothing you’ve heard before, Frankenstein!! is paired with Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre, a work used extensively for horror movies and haunted houses. In contrast, the program ends with Beethoven’s light-hearted Eighth Symphony, complete with musical jokes, tricks and treats.
