The monumental and majestic Messiah, composed by Handel at the apex of his musical genius in just twenty-four days, has been heightening the holiday spirit for centuries. From the soothing opening of “Comfort ye my people,” through the celebrated “Hallelujah Chorus” to the final “Amen,” the Messiah is a masterwork with no equal.
