Artist in Residence Program True to its roots as a community arts organization, Strathmore is proud to announce the Artist in Residence Program. This new project brings the area’s rich resource of high-caliber nationally and internationally recognized musicians together with local rising stars. Strathmore invites you to watch and participate in the growth and development of an emerging musician while taking notes from some pros.
For this program, Strathmore teams mentor musicians with promising young artists who have proven talents and are ready to make music a true career. Master musicians will act as faculty and help these emerging artists refine their work as well as giving them valuable advice through workshops on packaging their act, booking shows, publicity, recording, management, and publishing. Audience members will have a chance to provide feedback to the emerging artists and to see their progress throughout their residence. This innovative series of concerts and workshops is terrific if you are an aspiring musician or if you are a music lover that just wants to be able to say you knew the superstars of tomorrow back when.
