Led by founder and Strathmore Artist in Residence (AIR) alum Christian Perez, The Guitar Renegades features the talents of Tommy Holliday and AIR alum Connor Holdridge, Jan Knutson, and Parker Spears. A quintet of jazz guitarists at heart, the band explores a diverse repertoire including Bach, Simon & Garfunkel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jobim, and The Beatles, as well as jazz icons such as Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis. Combining structured ensemble parts akin to classical guitar performances with ample improvisation in solos and accompaniments, The Guitar Renegades offer a whirlwind, multi-genre musical extravaganza.
