Music in the Mansion

Letter from the Curator

I am excited to bring so many new artists and to welcome everyone to the Mansion for another fabulous season!

Experience a dynamic blend of sounds and spirits this season. Mama’s Broke, the cozy Canadian duo, creates mesmerizing music with fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and haunting voices. Their repertoire combines Appalachian folk, Celtic ballads, Nova Scotian traditions, and Ukrainian folk elements. Kittel and Co., an engaging ensemble, tours with an innovative sound that bridges classical and acoustic, Celtic and bluegrass, folk and jazz.

The DMV boasts an abundance of incredible musicians, and I’m thrilled to spotlight local talent at Music in the Mansion. This season features the stunning pianist Leah Claiborne, the charming Alma Ensemble trio, the dynamic Cajun-Persian viola duo Tallā Rouge, and the celebratory Washington Women in Jazz. These artists illuminate historically underrecognized creators and bring incredible energy to each performance.

With diverse sounds, energies, and genres, there’s something for everyone this season. Join us at the Mansion at Strathmore!
