Get ready for a musical extravaganza like no other as Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore presents their annual spring concert series! Over the course of three days, a staggering 550 young musicians will take the stage in 13 ensembles, showcasing the breadth and depth of musical talent in our community. From the soaring melodies of the symphony orchestra to the intricate harmonies of the chamber ensembles, this concert series has something for everyone. Led by a team of accomplished conductors, these young musicians will bring their passion and energy to each and every performance, creating an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

Come join the MCYO Philharmonic as they present LOVE IN BLOOM – “Love Songs from Around the World.” LOVE IN BLOOM will feature beautiful, lush, and passionate orchestral love themes from around the world including, Italy: featuring the Symphonic Intermezzo from Amica by Mascagni, China: featuring the world premiere of Fluttering Hearts by Lucy Chen, Argentina: featuring Ave Maria by Piazzolla, Spain: featuring Suite from La Mula by Navarro, and Cuba: Danzon no. 2 by Marquez. Come celebrate these amazing young musicians as they bear their musical souls and take us on an amazing musical journey around the world! The Philharmonic will also be joined by MCYO Symphony presenting works by Wagner, Smetana, and a premiere of a newly commissioned work by Edward Smaldone titled Cimelo.
