AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

The Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra proudly recognizes our graduating seniors through a range of awards and scholarships that celebrate their musical achievement, dedication, leadership, and contributions to our community. These honors not only acknowledge years of hard work and artistic growth but also help support students as they continue their educational and musical journeys beyond MCYO.

MCYO also awards the Chester J. Petranek Community Award to an individual or an organization for the “Outstanding community service in enriching the musical life of the Washington Metropolitan area.”

As we look to sustain and expand these opportunities, we rely on the generosity of our community. Support for these awards and scholarships ensures that we can continue to uplift and invest in the next generation of musicians. Contributions of any size make a meaningful difference in honoring our seniors and supporting their futures.

Below are the lists of the awards and scholarships, and of previous recipients.
