The Greater Washington, DC, region is home to some of the best art museums, galleries, nonprofit art spaces, and alternative art venues in the country—nurturing one of the most dynamic and creative visual arts scenes in the nation. Celebrating this vibrant scene, Women Artists of the DMV features a comprehensive survey of both established and emerging female visual artists who represent the tens of thousands of women artists working in this culturally and ethnically diverse area. Curated by Lenny Campello, the exhibition will be staged across four major art spaces—one in each state and the District—beginning in September 2025.
