Dorian Wind Quintet Holding Their Instruments And Smiling At Each Other

The Dorian Wind Quintet is known worldwide as one of chamber music’s most distinguished and longest-running ensembles. Since its founding at Tanglewood in 1961, the Quintet has performed in nearly all 50 states, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa, and Asia, collaborating with many of the world’s legendary classical musicians. Renowned for its rich legacy and adventurous spirit, the Quintet has commissioned nearly 40 works by major composers—including George Perle’s Wind Quintet No. 4, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 1986. Blending tradition with innovation, the Dorian Wind Quintet captivates audiences with its virtuosity, dynamic programming, and dedication to expanding the woodwind repertoire.
