Hawktail + Väsen

Hawktail + Väsen is the culmination of decades of mutual influence and musical connection. Hawktail bandmembers Brittany Haas, Jordan Tice, and Paul Kowert met in college, jamming on tunes from Väsen and attending the Swedish folk duo’s concerts. These experiences proved highly formative in shaping their identities as bluegrass and folk artists with Väsen continuing to inspire their musical direction.  

The strong tie between their respective fiddle traditions and each band’s approach to songwriting makes their collaboration a natural fit. The opportunity to perform together is something that both bands have eagerly anticipated for years.
