Fellow Pynins is an award-winning, contemporary folk duo based in Ashland, Oregon, with a bucolic sense of vocal harmony and song craft. The duo consists of songwriters, collectors, and interpreters Dani Aubert (claw-hammer banjo, bouzouki) and Ian George (guitar, mandolin). They have toured with great success across the U.S., U.K., and Ireland, gaining traction with and inspiration from global folk music communities. Naming their Tiny Desk submission as one of the best of 2019, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen described their sound as “folk music with a hefty touch of whimsy.”
A live performance from Fellow Pynins promises a whimsically emotional escapade dashed with spontaneous and clever banter, mirth, and woe. Join them on a captivating journey through adventurously arranged originals and reworked traditional ballads gathered from their travels.
