Is the word “genre” becoming obsolete? The great freedom of musical exploration through technology has opened worlds for anyone to find. Now more than ever, creators are pulling from countless influences to make unique sounds.

In this workshop, singer-songwriter Taisha Estrada guides you on a deep dive into pieces that transcend categorization. You will identify key elements and deconstruct songs, demystifying the creative process. Finally, you will have a chance to piece together your own original work.

The Mansion is located on Rockville Pike (Route 355), half a mile north of the Capital Beltway (I-495).
Parking for events and exhibitions in the Mansion is free in the Mansion lot on a space available basis. Additional parking is available in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Garage.
Strathmore is adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore station on Metro’s Red Line.
