People all over the world invariably find ways of making music, regardless of their means or access to fancy instruments. Explore the craft of building and performing with musical instruments made from recycled and upcycled materials in this workshop for all ages and skill levels.

Brazilian-American multi-instrumentalist and composer Lucas Ashby brings his experiences traveling the musical globe to this workshop, allowing you to see and hear unique handcrafted instruments from all over the world. Embody the can-do spirit of music-makers who see the sonic potential in others’ trash by building your own unique upcycled instruments.

Sponsored by Arthur and Tina Lazerow & Dale Rosenthal and Michael Cutler

Don’t miss Lucas Ashby's concert on June 16!
