The Oliveira Lima Library Presents An Evening of Brazilian Classical Music. The program is inspired by the 1910 "Concert de Gala" organized by Manoel de Oliveira Lima in Brussels where he served as Brazilian Minister to Belgium. The concert will feature the Catholic University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Maestro Simeone Tartaglione, and other special guests. It is part of the celebration of the Bicentennial of Brazil’s Independence. This concert is a cultural collaboration between the Oliveira Lima Library at the Catholic University of America and the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC.
