Flutist, vocalist, and composer Alex Hamburger returns to Good Hope with a powerful concert celebrating the music of women composers and songwriters across genres. From jazz legends like Geri Allen to Brazilian icons like Tania Maria and folk innovators like Joni Mitchell, Alex and her band explore the work of trailblazing women whose music has shaped generations.

A 2022 Strathmore Artist in Residence and Wammie Awards nominee, the DC native is known for her rich tone, expressive vocals, and emotionally charged improvisations. Her acclaimed debut album, And She Spoke, focused on the female voice in all its forms, while her latest release, What If?, continues her fearless exploration of identity, transformation, and human connection.
