Through passionate artistry, MCYO's Young Artists, Symphony, Chamber Ensemble, Symphony, Kamerata!, Preparatory Strings, and Chamber Strings will present works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Bizet, Coleridge-Taylor, Soon-Hee Newbold, among many more. These performances will bring together our young musicians to showcase their talents and dedication to the music, to each other, and to filling our collective musical spirit.
The Philharmonic will open with Lehar's joyus and uplifting Overture to the Merry Widow and a new soul stirring suite from Wagner's Lohengrin. The concert will also feature the world premiere performance of Jordan Jinosko's Three Sketches for Unblemished Earth, a love letter to saving our earth, and the east coast premiere of Oscar Navarro's Libertadores, a beautiful and powerful homage to the Amazon Forest, its indigenous people, and the idea coming together as one people.
