National Philharmonic’s 2025-2026 season begins with a concert of music from three timeless composers! On Sept. 20, GRAMMY® Award-winning conductor Michael Repper and GRAMMY® nominated violinist Curtis Stewart join NatPhil at The Music Center at Strathmore for a concert in celebration of the release of NatPhil’s first studio album of works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. The program features two works from the album by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor – Toussaint L’Ouverture and Ballade op. 4 for Violin and Orchestra – alongside Avril Coleridge-Taylor’s Sussex Landscape and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. Tickets are on sale now!
SAMUEL COLERIDGE-TAYLOR, an album of world-premiere studio recordings in honor of the composer’s 150th birthday, is “…..a splendidly absorbing album. It’s a handsome anniversary tribute to an important, underrated and sadly short-lived musical figure from the turn of the last century, well recorded and beautifully presented. (Europadisc).”
