The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is the leading performing arts organization in Maryland’s capital city.

The orchestra features 70 professional union musicians who perform over 30 concerts for 35,000 audience members annually. Annapolis Symphony Orchestra performances offer a wide variety for everyone to enjoy and include Virtual Series on Symphony+, the Masterworks Series, Chamber Music Series, Pops in the Park at Quiet Waters, Holiday Pops, Concerts for Schoolchildren, and Family Concerts.

In addition to Annapolis Symphony Orchestra’s commitment to producing and presenting memorable symphonic music, education for all ages is a core part of its mission. Over 2,500 children participate in the orchestra’s education programs each year, including live concerts and visits to schools. The impact of exposure to music at a young age helps build future audiences and keep the passion of music alive in our region for years to come.

The orchestra also offers the Annapolis Symphony Academy for students who want to develop their skills further with high-level music lessons regardless of means. Half of all students enrolled in the program receive a full or partial scholarship. A central goal of the Academy aims to address the under-representation of minority musicians in the classical field—50% of students are African American or Latino.
