A word from our Music in the Mansion curator
I am thrilled to present a fresh and exhilarating lineup of performances in the Mansion at Strathmore this season.
As a staunch supporter of women composers and musicians, I’m delighted to welcome Clarice Assad, Arooj Aftab, and Molly Joyce to the Mansion Music Room. These ferociously talented performer-composers are creating innovative and immersive sound experiences.
Strathmore also strives to shine a light on artists collaborating in new and innovative ways. Alumni of our Artist in Residence program will collaborate across genres in four special evenings and classical guitarist Paul Galbraith and cellist Antonio Meneses join forces for a rare collaboration featuring breathtaking skill and unparalleled talent.
Other season highlights include the brilliant harpist Bridget Kibbey. And if you have not heard the groundbreaking Calidore String Quartet before, make sure not to miss this astonishing young group of musicians who are one of today’s most compelling string quartets.
I am also honored to have been invited to perform alongside Matt Haimovitz in an electrifying mix of venerable classic pieces and contemporary works.
These programs are stunning, diverse, and unique. We cannot wait to share them with you. I look forward to seeing you in the Mansion!
