COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place which reflect all county, state, and federal health regulations at the time of camp. Learn more.

A detailed information packet and forms to collect camper information will be sent in the late spring.

This camp allows teens to explore their creative sides! Students enhance their portfolios with immersive, hands-on projects and learn how to discuss art, describe their work, and give and receive constructive critiques.

This year, projects are inspired by the theme “Imagining a New World.” Students will:

  • Create safe haven sculptures using pulped papier-mâché, natural elements, fiber, and a variety of other media, and incorporating techniques such as embroidery stitching, wrapping, and weaving.
  • Move through stations to collaboratively experiment with mark-making techniques and textures and use the resulting works for vibrant self-portraits.
  • Learn and practice pen and ink illustration, then use authentic printmaking techniques to create a series of fine art etchings.

On the last day of camp, Friday from 2–3pm, Strathmore welcomes families to a student artwork showcase and reception.

Strathmore’s art camps are directed by Rosana Azar of Creative Adventures.
