Emily Hoxworth & Rose Jaffe
Sat, June 10–Sun, Aug 6, 2017
In this duo show, a conversation emerges between the distinctive shapes and forms found in the works of Washington, DC, artists Emily Hoxworth and Rose Jaffe. Both artists use bold, bright colors and freeform shapes, often exploring and celebrating the body with a feminist lens. Their line work translates into shapes abstract and representational that fall into considered and organic compositions. Their sculptural work further explores their unreserved fascination with form, allowing the viewer another gateway into colorful perspectives and graphic worlds in three-dimensional space.
