Strathmore Children’s Chorus: Come & Sing!

Strathmore Children’s Chorus is proud to collaborate with and host the Children’s Chorus of Washington, Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir, and Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir for a concert that features each organization’s top ensembles separately and combined. The choirs will sing a broad variety of music, including compositions by Sean Ivory and Paul Caldwell, Srul Irving Glick, Wallace Hornady, and Philip Silvey.

Strathmore Children's Chorus: Current Music

This spring, Strathmore Children’s Chorus presents Current Music, a concert of works by living composers writing for children’s choirs. Featuring special guests the National Philharmonic Chorale Singers, the lively program includes pieces by Eric Whitacre, Emma Lou Diemer, and Alice Parker, plus the premiere of a commissioned work by Alistair Coleman.


Guest Appearances

Performing artist partners at Strathmore and throughout the area often invite SCC to collaborate on their concerts. The opportunities range from an entire SCC ensemble, to a smaller group of singers from one or more SCC ensembles, to solos or featured parts within the repertoire.
