Washington Performing Arts:
András Schiff, piano
Like Alfred Brendel and Richard Goode before him, Sir András Schiff has become a master of the Austro-German musical canon. In the 2015/16 season, Sir András continues his latest project, “The Last Sonatas,” comprising three recitals over two years, including this performance of the final sonatas of Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, and Beethoven. Said the Washington Post of the first recital in the series, “The playing was note-perfect and affectionate.... This recital will remain in memory for a long time.”
This performance is made possible through the generous support of Betsy and Robert Feinberg.
This concert is not presented by Strathmore.
