The Simon & Garfunkel Story

Arriving at Strathmore after a successful run on London’s West End, this critically acclaimed theatrical concert is about two boys from Queens, New York, who became the most successful music duo of all time comes to Strathmore. The Simon & Garfunkel Story includes timeless hits “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence,” and many more. The show takes the best of Simon and Garfunkel’s songs and mixes them with powerful images of 1960s America, giving audiences a feel for the atmosphere in which the artists were creating their music. The Simon & Garfunkel Story brings to life the lyrics and melodies that helped shape a musical generation and gave the group their global fame.

  • The duo began recording together in high school as Tom & Jerry, named after the famed cartoon cat and mouse.
  • Simon and Garfunkel released 5 albums as a duo before breaking up in 1970.
  • Simon and Garfunkel’s 1981 reunion concert in New York’s Central Park attracted more than 500,000 people, at that time the largest-ever concert attendance.
