Once in a generation does a performer come along who can change the face of the genre. Previously confined by the limitations of the instrument, strings legend Paul Galbraith personally designed a revolutionary new eight-string guitar, allowing him to push his repertoire and expressiveness beyond all limitations with an unsurpassed dexterity. The Sunday Times of London remarks, “with an amazing clarity and a huge dynamic range, . . . the audience was held spellbound.” Every performance is an adventure in boundary pushing, and you don’t want to miss what he’s going to do next!
- Galbraith performs seated, holding the guitar vertically and supported by a metal end pin on a wooden resonance box.
- Initially trained as a classical pianist, Galbraith gave the ivories up at age 24 to exclusively pursue his passion for guitar.
- His album Complete Bach Violin Sonatas and Partitas was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Instrumental Solo Album and cracked the Top Ten on the Billboard classical chart.
