An Immersive Multimedia Experience

Magical, musical, Middle Eastern—Niyaz is vocalist Azam Ali and multi-instrumentalist Loga Ramin Torkian. Blending medieval Sufi poetry, folk songs from their native Iran and a modern mélange of acoustic and electronic sound, Niyaz offers a fresh, exciting way to experience world music. Committed to creating contemporary music with a deep social message of unity and peace, Niyaz has performed all over the world, garnered the attention of NPR, MTV, and the BBC, and released several critically acclaimed best-selling albums of music that’s danceable, meaningful, and impossible to forget.

  • The Huffington Post described Niyaz as “an evolutionary force in contemporary Middle Eastern music.”
  • Niyaz’s most recent album, The Fourth Light, is a tribute to the first female Sufi mystic and poet Rabia Al Basri, who was born in Iraq in the 8th century,
  • Niyaz’s music has been featured in several major film and television scores including True Blood, Nip/Tuck, and Crossing Over.
