Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore (MCYO)
Cyber-Symphonies No. 1
Witness over 250 young musicians playing their hearts and souls out as they combine their instrumental voices together as "one virtual orchestra." This concert will feature MCYO's flagship orchestra, the Philharmonic, as well as MCYO's Future Stars, Preparatory Strings, Chamber Strings, and Chamber Ensemble presenting works by Boyce, Britten, Rachmaniov, Respighi, and Borodin.
In honor of MCYO's 75th Anniversary, the Philharmonic will present the world premier of a BELKIS "a new immersive and cinematic virtual orchestra concert experience," which tells the passionate story of the Queen of Sheba and Solomon Ben David as never told before.
Join us for the virtual passion, beauty, and artistry of one of Maryland's best kept secrets: MCYO!
This concert will be streamed on Facebook Live. RSVP for an email reminder. This performance will be available to view or replay on our page for 48 hours after the start of the performance.
