Ina Garten, beloved culinary icon, author of 10 New York Times bestselling cookbooks, and host of the popular Emmy and James Beard Award-winning Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics television show, is coming to Strathmore in celebration of her newest cookbook, Cook Like a Pro. Moderated by the New York Times’ Washington bureau chief Elisabeth Bumiller, Garten shares stories that take you behind the scenes of life in the Hamptons, filming her television show, writing bestselling cookbooks, and enjoying food with friends and family. Audience members will have a chance to participate in a live Q&A, so be ready with your questions!
Please note: Seats in front Promenade have been opened due to popular demand. These seats are to the side of the stage and views are either partial or obstructed.
- Garten was working at the White House Office of Management and Budget when she decided to do something more creative and fun than writing nuclear energy budgets!
- Garten entered the food world after she saw an ad in The New York Times for a culinary shop for sale in the Hamptons and bought it with no business or professional cooking experience at all.
This event will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
We rely on charitable gifts from individuals to sustain and expand our visual and performing arts experiences and arts education programs. Your gift will foster incredible social impact by allowing Strathmore to remain a strong and vibrant resource in your community.
