Live from the Lawn: Front Country
Wednesday, July 10, 2019, 7pm
Live from the Lawn
In the shadow of the San Francisco skyline, Front Country forged a sound hell bent on merging the musical past with the future. Featuring a lineup of classically trained innovators, Front Country does roots music their own way. With a guitarist trained in rock and world music, a bassist equally versed in jazz and bluegrass, a mandolinist skilled in classical guitar, a violinist who can seamlessly transition from honkytonk to electropop, and a lead singer with rafter-shaking grit and soul, Front Country has a truly original and innovative take on Americana. Front Country writes modern bluegrass and folk that is simultaneously intricate, intense and infectious.
