Free Summer Outdoor Concert:
Ken & Brad Kolodner
and Charm City Junction
World-renowned hammered dulcimer player Ken Kolodner is joined by his son, acclaimed old-time clawhammer banjo picker and Strathmore Artist in Residence alum Brad Kolodner, and acoustic roots quartet Charm City Junction. These gifted musicians offer an adventurous take on roots music, with influences ranging from American bluegrass to Irish jigs. Charm City Junction embodies the essence of what acoustic roots music is all about—a burning passion for blazing new trails while respecting musical tradition.
- You can hear Brad Kolodner on the radio DJing for WAMU’s Bluegrass Country.
- Ken Kolodner was the first and only US player to ever be invited to play the International Hackbrett Festival in Germany.
- Charm City Junction released its debut album on Patuxent Records in the fall of 2015.
