Free Summer Outdoor Concert:
Aztec Sun

Join the funk. Feel the soul. With a fiery hot beat that echoes neo-soul and just enough grit to keep you hip thrustin’ and toe tappin’, DC’s Aztec Sun electrifies the stage. The band’s music is as eclectic as its 8-piece lineup, drawing from a rainbow of influences that include old school R&B, funk, and pop. Aztec Sun presents a new approach to timeless sounds, bringing funk to the 21st century.

  • Aztec Sun launched in 2013 and has since toured extensively in the Northeast.
  • The band has a mantra: “Whatever Makes You Dance!”
  • The current lineup features Stephane Detchou on lead vocals, Shane W. on bass, John Holmes on drums, Ryan “Catch” Sarafolean on keys/organ, Ryan Schleeter on saxophone, Michael Dranove on trombone, Ray Lamb on guitar, and Adam Kent on trumpet.
