Colored Pencil Class for Kids

Instructor: Mary Ellen Geissenhainer

A perfect class for aspiring artists to explore working in the medium of colored pencil. Students will learn color fundamentals such as primary and secondary colors, the range of color values, and a recipe for creating the color black. Color blending to create multiple shades and colored pencil techniques will be emphasized. Students will take home several fun projects.

Kids—If you have a favorite set of colored pencils or erasers, you are welcome to bring them!

For ages 8–12. Includes an exhibition tour.
