RESPIGHI Pines of Rome
Respighi's Pines of Rome and the composer's lesser known but infectiously brilliant gem, Brazilian Impressions, are the centerpiece of this program. This concert also features the works of two powerhouse women composers, including Jennifer Higdon’s Low Brass Concerto, co-commissioned by the BSO. Percussionist Colin Currie returns with a new concerto by Scottish composer Helen Grime.
