The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra
Keith Lockhart, conductor

Join the world-renowned Boston Pops for a program of classics, old and new! These delightful spring concerts highlight the best of the Pops, from Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Bernstein’s Overture to Candide to film scores by John Williams and favorites from ABBA and Queen. The orchestra will also treat audiences to a lively cinematic sing-along!

  • “As Time Goes By” indeed—the Boston Pops entered their 133rd season in 2018! All the while providing the new and classic-with-a-twist repertoire that first made them famous.

  • What’s a film without a great score? Movie music from former Boston Pops conductor John Williams (Star Wars, 1941), is always a highlight of any Pops performance.

  • Conductor Keith Lockhart is famous for bringing pop music to the Pops, with past guest musicians including blues queen Jennifer Hudson, country stars Little Big Town, and fellow Bostonians Aerosmith.

  • Pianist Michael Chertock joins the orchestra for a rousing rendition of Rhapsody in Blue.
