CityDance is proud to present The Noble Mind Chronicles of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah MFA thesis dance performance project by Adjetey Klufio. The 50-minute performance will feature Adjetey Klufio, CityDance Conservatory dancers, and live drumming accompaniment at the CityDance Studio Theater at Strathmore.
This project is centered on the chronicles of Osagifo Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of Ghana and the first in the Sun-Sahara Africa; the man who wanted United States Africa. In this production, the performance will unearth some salient revelations and show some characteristics of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah choreographically and theoretically. “I am not African because I was born in Africa but because Africa was born in me.” This project will show the rich culture of the Ghanaian people.
