Wytold, Electric Cello

Good Hope Community Recreation Center
14715 Good Hope Road
Silver Spring,  MD

Directions

With electronic edge, acoustic harmonies, and double-stop grit, Wytold’s electrified-chamber sound can energize a rock club or inspire reflection in a concert hall. Wytold performs on the six-string electric cello and bases his original compositions on everything from outdoor rock climbing and world travel to philosophy. The recipient of a 2018 Montgomery County Executive Award for Artistic Excellence, he teaches at military hospitals and recently scored the HBO documentary We Are Not Done Yet about a group of veterans combatting PTSD through spoken word. He also recently teamed up with Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Christylez Bacon to release a classical-hip-hop fusion album, Beats, Bows & Remixes, at a celebratory show with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome! Reservations are not required, but appreciated to help us plan.
