Strathmore encourages all artists to discover their gifts and develop their skills. Through Artist Memberships, Strathmore provides exhibition and sales opportunities for more than 400 artists, including many of the best-known painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, multi-media artists and artisans in the region, and increasingly, the nation.

Exhibition opportunities are highlighted with the Annual Strathmore Membership Juried Exhibition, which fills both the first and second-floor galleries each year, featuring the carefully considered choices of a noted art professional. In addition, Artist Members' works appear in smaller exhibitions throughout the year in the Invitational Gallery, which also showcases continuously changing selections of their pieces for sale. In June, July, and August, Members are invited to participate in the Art on the Fence program during the outdoor concerts, where they can display and discuss their art with browsers and buyers.

Professional development workshops, lectures, panel discussions and seminars periodically offer artists the chance to develop their business and professional skills, as well as to meet and interact with fellow artists. Solo and group exhibitions, both juried and invitational - some organized around particular themes and others dealing with specific media - provide a rich diversity of visual experiences and recognize excellence among a wide range of participating artists.
