Friday Night Eclectic: Bellflur's Ghosts of the Handsome Skin Presented by Strathmore Friday, February 1, 2013 at 9:00 PM Mansion
Picture a wandering performance experience along the lines of NYC’s Shakespeare-esque Sleep No More: several bands, acting in different rooms, complete with visual artists. The atmospheric indie band Bellflur calls D.C. home, and you’ll call this evening of entertainment one-of-a-kind.
Bellflur's new album Twelve Vagrant Monologues From the Last living Star is a collaborative music and art project with author Pablo D'Stair and artist Ben Tolman. Exit Clov and Echo Wall are also commemorating the release of new albums at the concert.
The Ghosts of Handsome Skin is a project that includes musicians, artists, authors, actors, dancers and choreographers from the Washington, DC area working to showcase different takes through different media on the same source material.
Music by Bellflur, the Sad Little Stars, HundredHundred and more. With performances by the The Beth Elliot Dance Group.
Presentations by artist Ben Tolman and video director Richard Bernett (premiering "Country" video from 12 Vagrant).
Authors will include Goodloe Byron and Pablo D'Stair.
