In keeping with their electronic-tinged, synthy rock, Canadian indie stalwarts Metric have returned with an appropriately titled new record, Synthetica. According to singer Emily Haynes in NME, the new album "has the sweetness of our early records, there's a little bit of Live It Out, which was our troublemaker rock record, and Fantasies, which focused more on songwriting". We can only imagine how cool it'll look and sound when Metric's pulsating show fills the hall. Half Moon Run will open the concert. 8:00-8:35 pm. Metric starts at 9:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: Metro will perform major track work over the weekend of September 21-23. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday.
Free shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between the Grosvenor and Friendship Heights stations. Two stations will be closed Ė Medical Center and Bethesda. Customers using shuttle bus service should build an extra 30 minutes into their travel plans.
The last train from Shady Grove will depart 32 minutes earlier than normal -- at 1:58 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and at 10:58 p.m. on Sunday night -- to allow for shuttle bus connections. Last train times from Glenmont will remain the same.
