Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis is set for global stardom thanks to a haunting lament in Pixar’s new animated epic, Brave. A star and something of a hero in her native Scotland, Julie Fowlis has made it her life’s mission to explore, preserve and honor the Scots Gaelic music tradition. Winner of many awards including Folk Singer of the year, she was given the title of Scotland’s Gaelic Ambassador by the Scottish Parliament. Discover a rich tradition in this evening of Celtic song! “There are some voices that carry much more than a melody. They transport you to another place, give you goose flesh and make magic out of thin air. Julie Fowlis has just such a voice” (Evening Standard, London).
