
Before melanoma took her life in 1996, Eva Cassidy was one of Washington’s favorite singers, whose range ventured through blues, jazz, folk, country, gospel and pop. After her death, she became an international cult favorite, with listeners clamoring to hear her recordings in Britain and beyond. Amikaeyla, Trelawny Rose, Kiva, Strathmore Artists in Residence Mary Alouette, Jay Hayden and Lea, plus a group of talented musicians gather to pay tribute to Eva and perform well-known interpretations from Eva’s canon, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Songbird,” “Fields of Gold” and “Kathy’s Song.”
This concert will run approximately 105 minutes with intermission.
